Life in London #017 to #020 – The one with the new discoveries

So yeah, weekly updates are clearly not my thing, especially when having quite busy months like this February and beginning of March. So here’s my short recap of the last four weeks:

Life in London - Week 017-020

16 FEB. Nick and I had this great plan of exploring more of our neighbourhood, which went great in the beginning as we walked to Alexandra Palace (the place where the BBC had its first broadcasting ever!) where we had a stunning view over the city, but after that it went a little downhill from there (literally) as I had a couple of blog-meetups planned.

Great views from “Ally Pally”

21-23 FEB. The Traverse Travel Blogging conference in Newcastle, where Nick joined me for a weekend of workshops, networking and parties. Glad he enjoyed it -for me it is great to have someone at home that now knows a bit better of what I’m trying to accomplish with my blog! Although I’m always a bit on my own, but having someone to ask questions and help you out really makes a difference.

That’s why this month, I’ve also started a blog Mastermind group with some other bloggers to help move our businesses move forward.

Check us out in the second row! Now I cleary need more sleep, but Nick is pretty good at Networking :)

1-2 MAR. The Carnaval had arrived in Holland, and with Nick being from the South of the country, there was no excuse not to dress up and visit! I haven’t asked, but probably won’t get the right to publish photos showing Nick dressed as a stork, but I can tell you it was pretty epic. You’ll have to go with me dressed as a pirate. Arrrrrr!

3-9 MAR. The ITB is a huge trade fair in Berlin where all of the travel world came together to show their products and talk business. It was a bit daunting sometimes, but with so many blogger friends attending, I had a great time! With Julika, a lovely girl that I met a year ago at TBU Rotterdam, we also managed to do some proper sightseeing and I love to share some of the great things I’ve seen and done with you soon.

And yes, I even made it to the big screen :)

12 MAR. After my return in London spring had apparently kicked in and me and Dutch blogger Tea had a lovely day exploring the SOHO and Covent Garden area of London, while eating, drinking tea and laughing a lot!

Tea knew some amazing hotspots, like yumchaa, curzon and bibimbap.

15 MAR. Nick and I also met up with our friend Ian last weekend, as it was his birthday. We met Ian while hiking in the Himalayas in 2011 and kept in contact ever since. It’s great how you can make friends while travelling and meet up with them so many years later like no time has passed!!

And that’s it for this time, hope you are all well too.

Rest of the month is all about working on getting my second website launched (this time for real) and working on my Pinterest presentation for TBU Nantes and my consulting page/online course that I’m planning on setting up.

So… back to business now!
